CHESTER

"That one horse I will NEVER forget! A special horse with a heart of gold."

Chester was a ranch horse whose beauty was loved by many girls. He also had many special talents like no other horse had. Chester was a very difficult horse to work with. Because my brother had a special relationship with him, when he came up for sale, my parents decided to give my brother a gift. He was purchased by our family as a jumping horse for my oldest brother. Chester came into our family in 2005. He is a Belgium half Arabian/ half warm blood horse. When he was a jumping horse of my brother, with his amazing talent; he won several first-place awards. Even though Chester was not the biggest horse, he always would impress people by ending up in first place at jumping competitions.

As I grew up, my brother began University; so I started to take care of Chester more often. Because of his energy, personality, and breed, everyone told me Chester was not the right horse for me. They said; an extroverted horse and an introverted young girl will not work together. Nobody wanted to teach us. Since I was young, I always had something in me - to never give up and believe in your own dreams. So, I started to work with Chester. Soon after, I felt like there was something missing in our relationship together. I realized that I liked to work in my own way; as natural as possible. In my head, I was in my own little world with my herd of two; my horse and I. We started to work together and figure things out. We had a lot of fun times and often we failed, but we always figured it out together in our own little herd.

Chester became an amazing horse through horsemanship and brought me here today. He made a big part of my dream come true. In 2016, I started with my business and he helped me so much. He helped many different kids and showed them the beauty of liberty work in groundwork and riding.  Chester became a very special horse and will always have a special place in my heart. With his powerful energy, intelligence and beauty; he is loved by many children! Today Chester is helping two wonderful girls in Belgium to grow into the horsemanship way.
